Well, I have had a mysterious noise coining from the engine compartment when I cold start the car and run it in reverse for a minute or so. Goes away after a minute, or when I shift into DRIVE. Had a diagnosis, engine mounts looked OK but torque strut was questionable. Had that replaced. Alas, I still have the noise in reverse from cold start. Really appreciate all the troubleshooting that you folks did, but I guess I'm stuck with a mystery noise.

I have been taking my car to Moss Alley for 15 years. I live in a different part of town and it isn’t convenient but I keep going to them because I know that there, my car is in great hands. The people who work there are just straight up the best. Based on all my years of experience with Moss Alley, I trust them to always steer me in the right direction and do a good job at a reasonable price.

What a great place to take your car! I first heard about Moss Alley Motors from my roommate. He said how great the staff is and that the service they provide is pretty good. One day I followed my roommate over to Moss Alley Motors so that he could drop off his car for service. I noticed how Donovan came bounding up to him with a big smile and some great energy. My roommate followed Donovan into the office while someone else drove the car into the garage; I waited outside. I was just so impressed! As fate would have it, my car made some funny sounds and vibrations just a week later. So of course I would be going to Moss Alley Motors. I received the same reception (by Donovan, no less), and this wonderful woman, Kendra, helped by listening to me and ensuring me that they would call regarding the diagnostic check before doing any work. I approved the work needed, and although it needed some additional service, Kendra helped me to prioritize what should be done first and what could be temporarily deferred. I just can't express my gratitude to Moss Alley Motors and its staff. I look forward to coming back!

I've taken my elderly car in for two rounds of major maintenance at Moss Alley. They are friendly and easy to deal with - for example, they make a clear distinction between repairs that are strongly recommended vs those that are optional. They may not be the absolute cheapest mechanic around, but their prices are completely reasonable given that they are located in the middle of Seattle in an area with very high overhead costs for businesses.
